Background

Established in early 2021, Resolis provides contract management services on behalf of Dalmore Capital to support the provision of important public services in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, education, blue light, and defence.

Dalmore Capital is an independent fund management company that provides investors with access to long term investment opportunities in, predominantly, UK-based Public Private Partnership (PPP) infrastructure assets, e.g. hospitals, schools, and fire stations. The firm manages over £5.7 billion of capital, and its funds have invested in c.130 infrastructure assets.

An investment in a PPP asset is structured through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), which is used to contract with the Public Sector client (e.g. NHS, Council), Facilities Management Provider, and the Construction Party. Resolis was established to carry out the management of these SPVs on behalf of Dalmore Capital and provide the following services:

  • Operational & contract management
  • Accounting, company secretarial, financial modelling and tax
  • Counterparty liaison & management
  • Lifecycle expenditure
  • Project expiry
  • Compliance and contract assurance
  • Insurances

Position Summary

Resolis is offering a new and exciting opportunity for a 10-week internship for two candidates to support our Operational team. This opportunity will accelerate your career by granting you practical SPV management experience, broadening your commercial understanding, providing you with a range of business skills, and allowing you to work with a variety of stakeholders from both the public and private sectors. This role will be based in the Resolis Edinburgh office, allowing you to be mentored by a wide range of colleagues with deep SPV management experience. This internship has the potential to lead to a career with Resolis in SPV management.

Responsibilities

  • Collation and preparation of project diary, including meeting organisation, collation of agendas and papers and minuting as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation and quality assurance (QA) of reports in line with contractual obligations.
  • Attendance at senior-level meetings, e.g. Board Meetings.
  • Assist the SPV management team with audits on-site.
  • Assist the SPV management team with Variations and Lifecycle management, including maintaining trackers based on information provided by colleagues.
  • Recording and follow-up of actions.
  • Document and record management.
  • Internship Project to propose an improvement to an existing operational process and present this to an internal audience.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Continuous learner, with a strong desire to acquire new skills and knowledge.
  • Organised and able to plan and prioritise workload in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good attention to detail, and able to process large amounts of complex information.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and able to think strategically.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic, capable of working without supervision and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills with a range of stakeholders.
  • Penultimate or final year student.
  • Contractual and legal understanding is advantageous.
  • Access to a car is desirable.
